Barcelona Cable Landing Station continues to consolidate its role as a strategic connectivity hub in the Mediterranean with the recent deployment of infrastructure by Adam Data Center, enabling direct access to the global network of AFR-IX Telecom.
Through this deployment at the Barcelona Cable Landing Station, Adam Data Center has installed a dedicated rack environment that allows direct interconnection with AFR-IX telecom’s international network infrastructure. AFR-IX operates more than 150 Points of Presence worldwide and provides carrier-grade connectivity services including IP Transit, MPLS, SDN and advanced managed solutions, supported by its global infrastructure footprint and subsea ecosystem.
This new connectivity setup enhances international reach for Adam Data Center, increasing IP transit capacity while reducing latency between Europe, Africa and the Americas. It also improves network redundancy and resilience and creates additional interconnection opportunities for carriers, ISPs and content providers looking to expand their presence in Southern Europe.
By enabling direct access to global submarine and terrestrial networks, Barcelona Cable Landing Station continues to support the growth of a robust and highly interconnected digital ecosystem in the region.
